How is a buyers agent different from a selling agent?
A selling agent works for the vendor. Their job is to get the highest possible price for the seller. A buyer's agent works exclusively for you. We have no relationship with the vendor, no commission from the sale, and no incentive other than securing the best possible outcome on your behalf.
What does the process look like start to finish?
It starts with a strategy call to understand your goals and build your brief. From there we research the markets, identify suitable properties, conduct due diligence, negotiate the purchase, and support you through to settlement. We communicate the process every step of the way.
How does your fee structure work?
Kestrel operates on a fixed fee , not a percentage of the purchase price. A percentage model gives your agent a financial incentive to push you toward a more expensive property. That's a conflict of interest we're not willing to have. Our fixed fee means our only incentive is finding you the right property at the right price. Exact fee is discussed on your strategy call as it can vary depending on your situation and what the acquisition involves.
